The University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics Excel team has achieved remarkable success, culminating in a #3 world ranking in the Microsoft World Excel Collegiate Competition.
The Gatton College of Business and Economics has opened its Business Analytics Minor to all University of Kentucky students.
"Business analytics is one of our fastest-growing minors. Almost 70% of employers want graduates who have analytic skills, but only 23% of educators say graduates have these skills. In our program, you'll learn how to view data, analyze it, sort through it, filter it, and make decisions based on the findings," shares Tom Groleau, director of the Business Analytics Center.
After graduation, I accepted a role at Procter and Gamble in purchasing. P&G's main focus is putting you to real work on day one. My role heavily focuses on analytics, and the analytics coursework I took while getting my minor changed the game for me.
With an expected growth rate of more than 15% through 2030, the demand for professionals who are data literate and understand how to interpret and analyze that information will be vital to business success. Our graduate certificate includes four three-course classes: data visualization, data management, and analytical modeling, and an elective chosen from any other Gatton master's program.
